With a hot start in this highly anticipated quarterfinal match, Jessica Pegula jumped out to quick 4-0 advantage over 2022 champion Iga Swiatek and never looked back.
Swiatek made the second set interesting but ultimately Pegula won, 6-2, 6-4. For Pegula, her seventh quarterfinal appearance at a Grand Slam was a charm as she is now through to her first Grand Slam semifinal. Pegula will take on Karolina Muchova on Friday for a chance play in the final of the 2024 US Open.
